Chess Genius Bobby Fischer & His ‘Disastrous’ 9/11 Radio Interview

“Democracy is just a load of bullshit. It’s just a cover for the criminal nature of the Jew-nited States of America.” Bobby Fischer

Historical Background

Bobby Fischer was called by Radio Baguio in the Philippines shortly after the 9/11 attacks in the United States. Fischer later said about this 9/11 interview: “I was tricked.” Fischer was not in a stable condition when the Filipino radio station phoned him, and they knew what to expect from him.[1]

Fischer biographer Frank Brady writes:

“To say that Bobby’s broadcast was one of the most hateful by an American in the history of radio would not be an exaggeration.”[2]

Although aired over a small station in Baguio City, his interview went viral over the Internet. Numerous letters were sent to the White House and the Justice Department demanding Fischer’s arrest; many of these letters stated that Fischer’s arrest was long overdue.[3]

Bobby Fischer was arrested on July 13, 2004, when he went to an airport in Tokyo to board a plane bound for Manila. He was shackled and sent to a local Japanese jail. Fischer spent almost nine months in jail until he was freed from prison with the help from a committee called “Free Bobby Fischer” and the Icelandic nation.[4]

The reaction to Fischer’s 9/11 interview in the chess community was extremely negative. For example, Dutch grandmaster Jan Timman was asked if he takes Bobby Fischer seriously. Timman replied:

“No, nobody can take him seriously any more. The remarks he made after 11 September are such crazy statements that you cannot take that seriously.”[5]

Chess grandmaster Susan Polgar said about Bobby Fischer:

“He was a sick person and became mentally ill. He deteriorated over the later years of his life. Imagine today you and I all of the sudden grow a mental illness and become crazy. What does it matter what we say?…And yes, it’s very sad the things he said and how crazy he became. It’s just unfortunate he didn’t have anyone near him to control the damage to his image from those crazy statements.”[6]

Since Bobby Fischer’s 9/11 interview had a disastrous effect on both his personal freedom and his public reputation, this article will examine the contents of his 9/11 interview.[7] My analysis is divided into four sections: Major Misses, Misses, Hits, and Major Hits.

Major Misses

1. Bobby Fischer used profanity throughout his 9/11 interview. Such use of profanity was totally inappropriate and weakened the effectiveness of his message. People tend to listen only to the profanity while ignoring the message.

MV5BMjQ2NzI0NWUtZmUyMi00MGVjLTk2ODAtMmYxMmJlOTRlNGFiXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMjI4MjA5MzA@._V1_SY1000_CR0,0,651,1000_AL_

2. Fischer said that the World Trade Center attacks were wonderful news and that he wanted the United States to be wiped out. Fischer said:

“I say death to President Bush! I say death to the United States!”

Fischer also hoped for the execution of the Jewish ringleaders who control the United States.

So why did Bobby Fischer applaud such violence against the United States? Fischer made it clear in the interview that he was hoping for a scenario similar to the movie Seven Days in May in which sane people take control of the country. With sane people running the United States, Fischer was hoping that the horrific crimes the United States had been committing around the world would end.

3. Fischer stated that White people came to America and robbed the land from the American Indians. He also stated that Black slaves were brought from Africa to work the land. Fischer also said that the American Indians “kept the land pristine. It was a beautiful country when the white man came” and that the White and Black people should leave the United States and the land should be returned to the American Indians.

Fischer also said that the White and Black people should leave the United States and the land should be returned to the American Indians. Fischer’s solution is not practical. We cannot force over 300 million Americans to leave the United States simply because American Indians were mistreated in the past.

Editor’s Comment: Fischer did not acknowledge that Caucasians were in North America as far back as 13,000 years ago. Arthur Kemp documents in March Of The Titans that archaeologists have found numerous remains in various parts of America including the 9000-year-old Spirit Cave Mummy in Nevada which has clear Caucasian features including reddish hair, unlike Amerinds. The 7000BC Kenwick Man skull found in Washington State indicates he was white and part of a larger white tribe. There are also numerous megalith sites with early European scripts similar to Stonehenge and other signs of European-centric civilization and technology, including iron works and smelting. Fischer’s comments did not acknowledge White slavery was a far more extensive operation than Black enslavement. Nor that the first official slave owner in colonial America was a Black man, further blacks disproportionately became slave masters in pre-Civil War America. Also unacknowledged, was that a legal precedent for life-long slavery in America was established by a Black slave owner with regard to one of his Black slaves.  American Indians also historically practiced slavery and later, like Blacks came to own White slaves. In Virginia in 1670 Blacks and Indians were barred from owning White slaves due to their excessive cruelty. See:  Ironbark Resources
Fischer incorrectly assumes American Indians did not practice significant tribal warfare over territory and hunting grounds and were perfectly harmonious with nature. In reality their hunting behaviors were often cruel, wasteful and undertaken for sport and consistent with their treatment of captured White women as Thomas Goodrich documents. Misses

  1. Fischer said:

“Nobody has single-handedly done more for the U.S. image than me. I really believe this. You know, when I won the World Championship in 1972, the United States had an image of a football country, a baseball country, but nobody thought of it as an intellectual country. I turned that all around single-handedly, right?”

Fischer would be correct to say that nobody in the United States has done more for chess than he did. However, to say that nobody has done more for the U.S. image than him is an exaggeration.  American geniuses such as Linusim Pauling, Richard Feynman, Murray Gell-Mann and many others have also made major contributions to the intellectual development of the United States.

2. Fischer said: “Democracy is just a load of bullshit. It’s just a cover for the criminal nature of the Jew-nited States of America.” Fischer is correct that a relatively small number of people– many of whom are Jewish–run this country behind the scenes. However, Fischer needed to provide more of an explanation of how democracy is just a cover for the criminal nature of these people. Fischer also needed to change the word “bullshit” to “nonsense.”

Hits

1. Fischer said at the beginning of the interview that he heard a BBC reporter talk about some of the horrible crimes the United States had been committing all over the world. Fischer said: “I couldn’t believe my ears!” Fischer is correct that the controlled media seldom talks about the crimes of the United States. A BBC reporter talking about these crimes is truly surprising.

2. Fischer said: “The U.S. and Israel have been slaughtering the Palestinians, just slaughtering them, for years. Robbing them and slaughtering them.” Fischer is making an accurate statement here.

3. Fischer said that the atomic bombs dropped on Japan during World War II were totally unnecessary because the Japanese were ready to surrender. Fischer is again correct here. The Japanese would have surrendered to the Allies if the Allies had given the Japanese reasonable surrender terms. Instead, the only option given to the Japanese was unconditional surrender.

4. Fischer said: “Even as a boy, you know, I never had the slightest interest in American history. Never! I knew something was rotten in Denmark…” Fischer is correct that much of what is taught about history in school is biased and misleading.

5. Fischer said:

“The United States is not going to be reasonable. It’s not going to admit it’s the bad guy, and it’s always been the bad guy. It was the bad guy in World War II, it was the bad guy in World War I…”

Fischer was making an accurate analysis here.

  1. Fischer said:

“I’m not afraid of the U.S. They already put me in Japan, in prison before on trumped-up charges of using drugs…I already was tortured in America for two days. So, I’m used to this kind of stuff, you know?”

Unfortunately, Fischer later had to spend almost nine months in jail in Japan on more false charges. The American government does not like people such as Fischer speaking so harshly about its policies.

Major Hits

  1. Fischer said:

“I mean, look what the U.S. did in Yugoslavia recently, since 1999. Bombed the Kosovo and other parts of Yugoslavia with depleted uranium. Now to me that is worse than an atom bomb…When you drop an atom bomb, you kill them, you’re dead, you’re suffering is over, right? With this depleted uranium, you have a lingering death for the next 10, 20, 30, 40 years. Or maybe just two or three years depending on how much of it you get. But you are never going to be the same, you see? You just have a low-level sickness and your life is a misery…What the U.S. did in Yugoslavia is worse than dropping an atom bomb…because it creates so much suffering.”

Fischer made a profound statement here. Depleted uranium bombs are extremely cruel weapons that should never have been used by the United States in any war.

  1. Fischer said the Jews “…made up the Holocaust. There’s not a word of truth to it.” Fischer is correct that there was no German policy of genocide against the Jews during World War II. The Jews made up the so-called Holocaust for numerous reasons.[8]

Conclusion

Bobby Fischer was not an effective public speaker, and should probably have never gone on the radio to speak about anything other than chess. Fischer needed to learn to speak in a much more controlled manner without the use of profanity.

Fischer had hoped that the 9/11 attacks would result in a scenario similar to the movie Seven Days in May where sane people attempt to take control of the United States. Unfortunately, the 9/11 attacks were a false flag operation which were used as an excuse for the United States to invade Afghanistan, enact the Patriot Act, initiate the phony War on Terror, and have endless wars in the Middle East. As James Perloff has shown, Israel operatives were heavily involved in carrying out the 9/11 attacks.[9]

Thus, Bobby Fischer’s major mistake was to underestimate the evil and deception of the American government in regard to the 9/11 attacks. The World Trade Center attacks were not wonderful news because the American government used them to perpetuate unnecessary wars and suppress freedom of speech. Fischer did not know this when his radio interview was aired. In retrospect, Fischer probably should have remained quiet until more of the facts regarding the 9/11 attacks had come to light.

“Democracy is just a load of bullshit. It’s just a cover for the criminal nature of the Jew-nited States of America.” I suddenly like him now even though I have just been introduced to him. Apart from some delusions like him doing more for the Us than any other people, I believe that he was a great man like Jim traficant and John F Kennedy.

What he didn’t know about 9/11 was like what you’ve said in the article. 9/11 was an false flag committed by Israel and Blamed it on the Arabs to fight endless amount of Israel’s wars. They also tried to blame the Arabs on USS liberty.

One of the most fascinating articles, thank you for posting it. Very balanced and fair.
When you refer to the US Government, of course, the real term is ‘Government Sachs’.

The international Zionist bankers/financiers rule the U.S. and everywhere through their privately owned BIS (Bank of International Settlements), physically positioned within Switzerland but independent and external to that nation (like the Vatican, and D.C.). The BIS controls all nations’ Central Banks and thus their governments and the BIS is completely above international law – there is no accountability whatsoever from this criminal cabal organization.

“He was a sick person and became mentally ill. . . . ”

Even though he made some remarks and statements that seem “crazy”, he may not have been mentally ill. A very depressed individual is not necessarily mentally ill.

“Fischer made a profound statement here. Depleted uranium bombs are extremely cruel weapons that should never have been used by the United States in any war.”

Yes, and we have opined previously on other blogs about these depleted uranium shells. These are used by the US military for their penetrating power to smash enemy armor on the battlefield. But, even if these are depleted in the sense of not having much of their radioactive half life left (which may be open to question), uranium is a chemically toxic heavy metal (as our mercury, lead and cadmium for examples). When these shells come down on to machines, fortifications and/or people, some of the uranium is effectively vaporized and inhaled or absorbed in the mouth and ingested by those nearby (this is unavoidable). That obviously exposes these human beings to serious health damage.

    • John says:

      larryzb,

You made a great post. Depleted uranium bombs have extremely adverse health consequences to people exposed to them. No moral nation would ever use them in a war.

Dr. Magnus Skulasson made some important observations concerning Fischer’s mental health. Dr. Skulasson was an Icelandic psychiatrist who was the head doctor of Sogn Mental Asylum for the Criminally Insane. He was also a chess player who had a great reverence for the accomplishments of Bobby Fischer, and a great affection for Fischer as a man.

Dr. Skulasson was frequently at Fischer’s bedside during the last few months of Fischer’s life. He was at Fischer’s bedside to attempt to help his dying friend in any way he could. Because of his psychiatric training, however, Dr. Skulasson couldn’t fail to take note of Fischer’s mental condition.

Dr. Skulasson said about Bobby Fischer: “He definitely was not schizophrenic. He had problems, possibly certain childhood traumas that had affected him. He was misunderstood. Underneath I think he was a caring and sensitive person.”

  6. John A Roberts says:

You misquoted Fischer here: “Nobody has single-handedly done more for the U.S. than me.”

What Fischer said was: “Nobody has single-handedly done more for the U.S. image than me.”

    • John Wear says:

      John A. Roberts,

You are correct. Fischer said: “Nobody has single-handedly done more for the U.S. image than me.” I did not hear the word “image” originally.
